YUM

I made 5 loaves of Amish Friendship Bread yesterday. I thought I would take some to the people I visit teach. We did plan on keeping a loaf for ourselves to enjoy, so we dug into that one when it was hot out of the oven and we noticed there were hard pieces of something in the bread. We couldn't figure out what it was. Clumps of flour wouldn't be this hard... Brian thought maybe the eggs had already developed chicks in them and the hard bits in the bread were bones. (I assured him there were no chicks in the eggs when I cracked them, I'm pretty sure I would have noticed that...) Well tonight I made cookies and again they had hard bits of something in them. We decided there must be something in the flour. Turns out Brylee has been putting rice in the flour. So anyone want some amish bread or cookies with hard rice in them? We've got lots.

Who's a big girl now???

Brylee is potty trained! She has been house broken for a month now! We love not having to change diapers anymore, and Brylee loves wearing panties. What we do not like, however, is how distracted she can get. She will sit on the pot and start to go, then realize that she would like a different stool at her feet than the one that is there. So instead of finishing her business and waiting til the next time she needs to go to get a new stool, she must stop and change stools right then. (At least she doesn't pee on the floor) She also thinks it is funny to put her feet in the trash can next to the pot, or put her leg in the toilet while she is sitting on it. Apparently it is also a good idea to put your head between your legs while going potty so that you can see everything that is going on in the toilet. It can be quite entertaining to take her potty sometimes. Oh, and she always has a preference of what bathroom she wants to use. If you go to the wrong bathroom when she says she has to go potty, she will let you know and make sure you go to the correct bathroom to help her.
We are actually really lucky to have her potty trained! She was out of diapers at 22 months and she even keeps herself dry at night! That was a surprise to us, we didn't expect that to happen for awhile. I'm sure the whole potty training thing was made easier because her older siblings were potty trained and she had them to watch. (which actually caused problems in the beginning because she thought she should pee standing up as well)
All in all we are glad to have a break from diapers for the next 4 or 5 months! Then we can start all over again... :)

Commercials

Dallin is a funny boy. He really gets into laughing at the things on tv now. He likes the show America's Funiest Home Videos. He laughs at all the videos and the ones he really likes he has to repeat back to you exactly what happened while he cracks up all over again. Well, he has a commercial that he absolutley loves, he CRACKS up everytime he sees it, almost to the point of falling on the floor. Then he also has a commercial that he HATES. Everytime it comes on he tells me how much he dislikes it and how he hates hearing it. In fact he is in bed right now, but while I was looking for the commercial he hates on youtube he heard it playing on the computer and started saying "I hate that." So funny! Anyway, here are the commercials so you can see what is causing these reactions.

It's a.....

BOY! Here we go again! Hopefully this boy will be a little more calm than his older brothers... I was relieved to see everything looks good in the ultrasound, and his measurements were right on. This baby has not been very active, at least not that I can feel. So to see everything looks normal was good!
Anyway, thanks to those who voted on our poll, sorry most of you were wrong... :)
Now on to the task of deciding on a name for this boy!
